As part of its “Join the Movement” campaign, the Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children in Abu Dhabi will host a number of activities to spread awareness of breast cancer and the value of early detection and screening.
The hospital will provide free mammograms for the duration of this month.
Recent international research has shown that exercise can lower a woman’s chance of developing breast cancer. The hospital will work with well-known fitness centres in Abu Dhabi to create a number of free programmes for all fitness levels and types of health regimens.
Padel sports at Let’s Padel Academy in Mussafah will kick off the “pink” competitions on Wednesday.
People can participate in a vigorous exercise session on Saturday at Firefit, Paragon Bay Mall, and Marina Square on Al Reem Island.
The ADCB Zayed Sports City Pink Run, held in cooperation with the hospital, is scheduled for October 22. Registration can be done online for a Dh160 entry fee.
On October 23, Bodytree Studio will host pilates and yoga classes, and the following day, the Crank in Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Park will host a spin class.
Participants in all events must have a green status on the Al Hosn app
