The woman said that her husband had not paid for their return plane tickets or their living expenses.

The Dubai Police swiftly settled a family disagreement that left a European mother and her kids stuck outside the country after her husband refused to pay for their return flights.

Dubai Police, acting on behalf of the General Department of Human Rights, provided direction and encouragement to facilitate the couple’s reconciliation while taking their children’s best interests into account. The Wadeema law, which emphasizes the value of defending children’s rights, was in line with this intervention. The lady had approached the Emirati embassy in a European nation, according to Major Rashid Nasser Al Ali, Head of the Child Protection Section, saying that her husband had purchased a one-way ticket for her and their kids to travel to see her family. He added, “But then he refused to pay for the kids’ bills and return tickets, so she had to approach the embassy to get things straight for her family.”

According to Major Al Ali, the European woman complained that her husband had not paid for her and their children’s living expenses, and she filed a complaint with the Emirati embassy via the appropriate authorities. He mentioned that one youngster was two years old and the other was five months old. She added that he refused to arrange or pay for their return tickets to the United Arab Emirates. Dubai Police swiftly contacted the father regarding the allegation and sought an amicable resolution, putting the children’s welfare above all else, after the embassy informed the appropriate authorities.

“After receiving counsel and direction and having the provisions of the Emirati law known as “Wadeema” made clear, the father took action to send his family money and reserve return tickets. Until we were certain that all conditions had been satisfied and they had safely returned to the nation, we kept a tight eye on the issue. To provide a safe atmosphere that promotes stability for the two kids, we also registered them in the ‘Safe Child’ program, Major Al Ali added.

He emphasized that the Child Protection department is dedicated to accepting and investigating all complaints and cases, whether they are filed through formal channels within or outside the nation. “In addition, there is continuous knowledge of the rights of children under the Wadeema law, as well as active monitoring of all reports involving children and swift action to protect their legal rights,” he said in closing.

All reports pertaining to the Child and Woman Protection Service’s defense of children’s rights are managed by the General Department of Human Rights. You can file reports by calling (901), using the Dubai Police smart app, or the Dubai Police website. People can also go to the Child Oasis at the main headquarters in Al Tawar.

A federal order was passed in 2016 to guarantee children’s protection in the United Arab Emirates. The ‘Wadeema’ statute got its name after an eight-year-old child suffered abuse and
