In addition to future environmentally friendly infrastructure, the Executive Council also talked about how well government agencies are performing and how to enhance their offerings.

Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations will soon be appearing in Sharjah as a result of a new initiative that the emirate’s officials approved on Tuesday.

According to officials, the fast charging stations will be constructed at various sites to service both residential and business areas. They also highlighted a few key themes from the most recent Executive Council meeting of the emirate.Authorities in the UAE have been developing infrastructure and amenities to increase drivers’ convenience when using environmentally friendly EVs.

While some locations charge nothing at all, authorities have declared a plan to standardize fees across the UAE. According to a revised pricing schedule, service providers have to charge Dh1.20 plus VAT per kWh for “express” charging services and Dh0.70 plus VAT per kWh for “slow” charging services.

In addition to talking about the future EV infrastructure, Sharjah’s Executive Council also covered how well government agencies are performing and how to enhance their offerings.

Proposals to encourage collaboration among UAE fishermen’s cooperative associations were also discussed by the council.

The meeting was chaired by Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, with other high-ranking officials in attendance.
