Israel’s heavy shelling of several areas of Lebanon has resulted in at least 558 deaths, including 50 children, and 1,835 injuries, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.
As the UN and world leaders demanded an immediate de-escalation, Lebanon’s Hezbollah launched a flurry of missiles at Israeli air bases in retaliation.
In the meantime, Israel has persisted in its assaults on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of at least 12 Palestinians during the most recent reporting period of 24 hours.
In Israel’s attack on Gaza, at least 41,467 people have died and 95,921 have been injured. At least 1,139 people were killed and over 200 were captured in Israel on October 7 as a result of strikes spearheaded by Hamas.
