The authority invoked Regulation No. (2) of 2008 concerning food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, citing a breach by the catering service with the business license number CN-1049959. The decision to shut down the facility comes in the wake of several confirmed cases of E. Coli poisoning linked to the consumption of food from the said establishment.
The Abu Dhabi Farming and Sanitation Authority made the announcement of the closure through a public post on their Instagram account. The post emphasized that the closure was a result of the identified health hazards posed by the catering service. Specifically, there were reported cases of individuals falling ill after consuming a white bean salad with meat that was found to be contaminated with E. Coli bacteria.
