Umm Al He was arrested by the Kaiwain police after a group of four stole a vehicle under the guise of a police officer.
Criminal Investigation Director Col. Saeed Obaid bin Alan said authorities had received complaints about someone posing as a police officer to steal a car.
He added that the complainant said he was stopped by a man disguised as a police officer on Mohamed bin Zayed Road in Umm Al Quwain. The complainant added that the “policeman” asked him to get out of the car because it was a wanted car.
The impersonator then drove to an unknown location. Authorities have investigated and found perpetrators in several emirates. The suspect was arrested, and the stolen vehicle was confiscated. They confessed to their crimes.
