UAE welcomes the International Court of Justice’s (ICJ) preliminary rulings on the Gaza Strip, which demand provisional measures to protect the lives of civilians in Gaza and to stop any statements or practices, direct punishment, and public incitement to commit genocide against the Palestinian people in the Strip. UAE also welcomes the ICJ’s decision to protect Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the United Arab Emirates applauds the ICJ’s decision, which aims to put an end to Israeli violations and provide Palestinians with protection.

The Ministry emphasized that the United Arab Emirates recognizes South Africa’s efforts and reiterated the significance of protecting civilians and ensuring the urgent, sustained, and unimpeded entry and delivery of humanitarian and relief aid.

Additionally, the authority advised against aggravating the situation in the occupied Palestinian territory and causing additional casualties. In addition, it emphasized the significance of achieving the two-state solution with a Palestinian state that is independent.
