A fire that broke out in the basement of a hospital in the northern Iranian city of Rasht has resulted in the deaths of nine patients, according to Tehran, Iran. The six ladies and three men killed were in the emergency unit Qaem Medical clinic, nearby specialists said. Every one of the patients in the office were emptied.
On Tuesday, the head of the Gilan University of Medical Sciences, Mohammad Taghi Ashoubi, told reporters that eight people had already died, including a patient who had been intubated and was in the intensive care unit. “The reason for death of these patients is being explored by the Gilan clinical inspector,” he was cited as saying by the state-run IRNA news organization.
