Iran’s Supreme Leader warned that the “Zionist criminals” should realize that they are too little to harm Hezbollah after Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, responded shortly after the Israeli Defence Military (IDM) on Saturday announced the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in targeted strikes in Beirut. He said that the “Zionist criminals” should know that they are too small to harm Hezbollah.
“Criminal Zionists should understand that they are too little to seriously undermine the solid foundation of Hezbollah in Lebanon. According to a post on X, “all the resistance forces in the region are standing behind Hezbollah and support it.”He underlined once more that all Muslims ought to stand in solidarity with the Lebanese people and the righteous Hezbollah, lending their resources and backing to the latter as it opposes the brutal and usurping Zionist dictatorship.
The Lebanese people remember that once, as the occupying regime’s soldiers advanced on Beirut, Hezbollah stopped them and brought honor to Lebanon. By God’s help and might, Lebanon will also make the evil, transgressing enemy regret what it has done today,” the message said.
Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant received assurances from US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin that the US is determined to stop Iran and its allies from exploiting the situation in Lebanon or intensifying hostilities.
Austin also emphasized that the United States is committed to preventing Iran and its allies from taking advantage of the situation while voicing strong support for Israel’s right to self-defense.
“I clarified that the US is still poised to safeguard US soldiers and infrastructure in the area and is dedicated to defending Israel,” he wrote in a post on X.
