Iran says it has started the preliminary of a Swedish public utilized by the European Association who is accused of spying for Israel and “debasement on the planet”, a wrongdoing that conveys capital punishment.

Johan Floderus was prosecuted “in view of debasement on the planet, broad exercises against public safety [and] wide knowledge participation with the Zionist system”, a reference to Israel, the Iranian legal executive’s Mizan news organization said in a web-based report on Sunday.

Debasement on earth is a capital offense under Iran’s Islamic regulations.

Floderus, 33, was captured on April 17, 2022, at Tehran air terminal as he was getting back to Iran from an excursion with companions. The Swede, who works for the EU political assistance, is being held in Tehran’s Evin jail.

Mizan distributed photographs of a cuffed Floderus showing up under the steady gaze of judges in a light blue jail uniform as the charges were perused.

Iran’s legal executive, in an assertion, said Floderus had worked through projects by the US and European organizations to accumulate knowledge for Israel.

Iranian authorities said he had been in contact with a few European and non-European suspects in Iran and had visited Israel, Iran’s enemy, prior to visiting Iran. The assertion blamed Sweden for intermediary spying for Israel.

Sweden on Sunday said the preliminary of Floderus has started in Iran yet didn’t get out whatever he was accused of.

“Johan Floderus has been randomly kept and each allegation and charge is misleading,” a representative for Sweden’s Unfamiliar Service said in a messaged remark to the Reuters news organization.

“We have passed this obviously on to Iran at various levels and times, the latest being yesterday [Saturday].”

Floderus’ family has said he was confined “with next to no legitimate reason or fair treatment”.

The EU’s top international strategy boss Josep Borrell on Sunday required his prompt delivery, saying “there are definitely no reason for keeping Johan Floderus in detainment”.

Sweden’s Unfamiliar Pastor Tobias Billstrom added: “There is no premise at all for keeping Johan Floderus in detainment, not to mention carrying him to preliminary.”

Freedoms gatherings and Western legislatures have blamed Iran for attempting to extricate political concessions from different nations through captures on security charges that might have been exaggerated.

Tehran says such captures depend on its crook code and it denies holding individuals for political reasons.

Relations among Sweden and Iran have been tense beginning around 2019 when Sweden captured Hamid Noury, a previous Iranian authority as far as it matters for him in the mass execution and torment of political detainees during the 1980s.

Noury at last got a lifelong incarceration in July 2022. The Court of Requests in Sweden is supposed to declare a decision for the situation on December 19.

In May this year, Iran executed Swedish-Iranian dissenter Habib Farajollah Chaab, sentenced for driving a dissident gathering Tehran faults for a few assaults, remembering one for a tactical motorcade in 2018 that killed 25 individuals.
