Indian expats in the UAE today will praise the ‘celebration of lights’ or Diwali. UAE President His Excellency Sheik Mohamed canister Zayed Al Nahyan has wished inhabitants and others across the globe on the event.
In a tweet, he said, “We stretch out our all the best to every one of those observing Diwali, the celebration of lights, both in the UAE and across the world. May the year ahead bring harmony, wellbeing and bliss to all.”
The UAE pioneer even tweeted a similar in Hindi: “हम यूएई और विश्व भर में दीपावली मना रहे सभी लोगों को शुभकामनाएँ देते हैं। आने वाला वर्ष सभी के लिए शांति, स्वास्थ्य और ख़ुशहाली लेकर आए।”
His Excellency Sheik Mohammed canister Rashid Al Maktoum, VP and Head of the state of UAE and Leader of Dubai, has likewise taken to X to wish every one of those praising the event. “We compliment everybody observing Diwali all over the planet… Wishing them an exceptionally prosperous and euphoric celebration.”
Like the President, he too rehashed the wish in Hindi: “विश्व भर में दीपावली मना रहे सभी लोगों को हमारी हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ। यह शुभ त्योहार समृद्धि और ख़ुशहाली लाए।”
Celebration of lights
The celebration of Diwali represents the triumph of light over haziness and great over evil, profoundly.
