In the first half of 2023, a police station in Dubai reported a remarkable achievement: zero traffic-related deaths within its jurisdiction. This is a significant improvement compared to the same period in the previous year, which saw nine traffic-related fatalities.

The Al Qusais Police Station, responsible for an area spanning approximately 77 square kilometers, covers a diverse range of zones including residential, commercial, and industrial areas such as Al Nahda, Al Twar, and Al Muhaisnah.

The achievement is attributed to the collaborative efforts of the Traffic Records Section within the station and the General Department of Traffic. Their coordinated programs and traffic campaigns, coupled with the skills of well-trained patrol officers, have played a crucial role in enhancing road safety and preventing fatal accidents.

Brigadier Sultan Abdullah Al Aweys, Director of Al Qusais Police Station, commended the Customer Happiness Section for its contributions as well.

The section recorded 1,116 in-person transactions during the first half of 2023, marking a decrease from the 1,328 transactions in the same period of 2022. However, the section saw a substantial increase in smart transactions, processing 43,122 in the first half of 2023 compared to 35,366 in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Furthermore, the Smart Police Station (SPS) handled 600 transactions in the first half of 2023, displaying substantial growth compared to the 301 transactions handled during the same period in the prior year. This progress signifies a strong commitment to providing efficient and convenient services to the public while ensuring road safety in the jurisdiction.
