Every individual deserves the right to education, and many people are working hard to ensure that happens. One such person is Sharani Narayana. Over 4,00,000 pupils are receiving a top-notch education from what was once a tiny math coaching centre in 1979, which has since grown to encompass 19 states in India. She is the director of one of India’s finest universities, NEI. Dr Ponguru Narayana established it.
She makes sure to personally assist her students whenever they need it, even though she looks after the educational institute that manages 640 schools and colleges across India. Sharani is also a prominent influencer and blogger. Interacting with the students, she claims, is her favourite aspect of her job since it makes her feel good.
When asked what’s the best part about her job, Sharani Narayana shares, “The best part of my job is the interaction with the students and learning about their ambitions. I also ask them to address any concerns they may have. At the same time, I enjoy having effective talks with instructors across all of India, and together we work to ensure that students have a solid foundation. My usual working hours are from 9 AM to 8 PM. Hyderabad is home to our corporate headquarters. I visit other cities across India three times per week.”
Even though it’s remarkable to watch Sharani Narayana juggle so many roles, her growth has left us feeling incredibly inspired. Sharani stated that when she was younger, she had stage fright and was shy and introverted. But after 25 years of hard effort, she was finally able to become outgoing because of her ambition and determination.
Sharani Narayana is the recipient of several accolades for her work. One of her most prestigious awards was the TV5 Business Leader Award 2017 in Education. The government of Andhra Pradesh honoured her on International Women’s Day for her contribution to the education section.
