- Driving without a licence: If you are caught driving without a licence in the UAE, you will be fined Dh2,000 and/or given a jail sentence of up to 3 months. Your vehicle will also be impounded for 60 days.
- Driving with an expired licence: If your licence has expired, you will be fined Dh500 and/or given a jail sentence of up to 1 month. Your vehicle will also be impounded for 30 days.
- Driving with an invalid licence: If you are caught driving with an invalid licence, you will be fined Dh1,000 and/or given a jail sentence of up to 3 months. Your vehicle will also be impounded for 60 days.
- Driving without a valid licence plate: If you are caught driving without a valid licence plate, you will be fined Dh1,000 and/or given a jail sentence of up to 3 months. Your vehicle will also be impounded for 60 days.
- Driving with an invalid registration certificate: If you are caught driving with an invalid registration certificate, you will be fined Dh500 and/or given a jail sentence of up to 1 month. Your vehicle will also be impounded for 30 days.
- Driving without insurance: If you are caught driving without insurance, you will be fined Dh2,000 and/or given a jail sentence of up to 3 months. Your vehicle will also be impounded for 60 days.
- Driving with an expired insurance policy: If you are caught driving with an expired insurance policy, you will be fined Dh1,000 and/or given a jail sentence of up to 1 month. Your vehicle will also be impounded for 30 days.
