In coordinated effort between AGWA, Adherent Meats In addition, the two will work to establish halal certification standards for Abu Dhabi’s cultivated meat products.

Developed meat capacities in the UAE will be created in a cooperation between AGWA (AgriFood Development and Water Overflow), Abu Dhabi’s new food and water bunch, and Devotee Meats, a worldwide forerunner in the developed meat industry. In a laboratory, animal cells are used directly to make cultivated meat. The step of raising live animals for food is eliminated by this.

The collaboration will contribute to the development of a reliable model for the introduction and expansion of lab-grown meat into the region and various markets in light of an increasing awareness of environmental protection and shifts in dietary habits. AGWA will likewise work with Devotee Meats to lay out an administrative pathway and halal certificate guidelines for developed meat items in Abu Dhabi.

Alternate proteins, functional ingredients, algae farming, and reverse osmosis membranes are just a few of the areas that AGWA wants to lead in while also improving the supply and production of conventional food and water. In order to produce cultivated meat products that are safe, healthy, and delicious, Believer Meats is concentrating on developing the cell-cultivation production technology that is both the most effective and scalable in the world.

Following its series B fundraise in 2021, which was supported by ADM, S2G Ventures, and others, the company is currently building the largest cultivated meat production facility in the world in North Carolina, USA. The production line will highlight a cutting edge development place and tasting kitchen, and is set to be functional toward the finish of 2024.

Alongside AGWA’s objective to lead worldwide endeavors in handling food security and water shortage, this coordinated effort could empower a rising presence for Devotee Meats in the MENA district. Believer Meats will look into setting up a regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi that can support commercial operations for product manufacturing and research and development, providing employment opportunities and capabilities that are leading the industry.

The Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO)’s Director General, Badr Al-Olama, stated, “When Abu Dhabi established AGWA, it sought to attract the greatest innovators in food and water.” This goal being realized clearly shows up in our partnership with Believer Meats.

A headquarters in Abu Dhabi would empower Devotee Meats to bring the absolute best developments and items in developed meats to the whole locale with speed and wellbeing, fundamentally changing the reliance on imported food to the district.” “Partnering with AGWA represents a significant step forward in our mission to create a global powerhouse of cultivated meat solutions bringing products to new strategic markets,” stated Gustavo Burger, CEO of Believer Meats.

This cooperation won’t just empower us to grow our tasks, yet additionally adjusts impeccably with our vision of making a maintainable and stronger worldwide food framework.” AGWA is a platform for maximizing commercial opportunities and is led by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) and Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO). It is meticulously designed to support both local suppliers and exporters. By 2045, AGWA is supposed to contribute Dh90 billion in steady Gross domestic product to Abu Dhabi’s economy, make 60,000+ new positions, and draw in Dh128 billion in ventures.
