The system is designed to streamline the process of applying for and receiving these documents, and will provide customers with a faster and more efficient service. The new system will also allow applicants to track the status of their applications online, and receive SMS and email notifications when their documents are ready.

To apply for a passport, 5-year jobseeker visa or entry permit, customers can visit the website of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), or any of the GDRFA’s offices across the UAE.

Authorities revealed the details of the visa reforms at a press conference. They include a greatly expanded Golden Visa programme, a five-year Green residence, and new entrance permits, one of which is for job seekers. The new arrangement gives family members who sponsor them additional advantages.

The UAE has one of the most progressive visa regimes in the world, and the launch of the new services system is part of our commitment to continuously improving the experience of living, working and doing business here. The reforms will make it easier for people of all nationalities to come to the UAE and contribute to our economy and society.

The Golden Visa scheme, which was launched in May, will be expanded to include more categories of investor, such as scientists, researchers and top students. The five-year Green Card residency visa will be available to certain highly skilled professionals such as doctors, engineers and scientists

A new entry permit for job seekers will allow people with specific skills and qualifications to come to the UAE to look for work. This will help us attract the best talent from around the world and ensure that our economy remains dynamic and competitive

The reforms also include a new category of visa for domestic workers, as well as changes to the visa rules for dependents, which will make it easier for families to live and work in the UAE

His Excellency Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai, said: “The UAE has always been a welcoming country, and these reforms will make it even easier for people from all over the world to come and live, work and do business here. We are confident that the new system will contribute to the continued development of the UAE as a global hub for talent, investment and innovation.”

His Excellency Majid Al Khaja, Director-General of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, said: “The launch of the new services system is a major milestone in our efforts to provide world-class services to all residents and visitors of the UAE. The reforms will make it easier for people of all nationalities to come to the UAE and contribute to our economy and society.”

The new system will be implemented in phases, with the first phase set to begin on September 15. For more information, please visit www.uae-services.ae
