Damascus Violates the Ceasefire

Turkish Leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that Ankara wants to follow the arrangements on Syria, however, in case Damascus violates the ceasefire, the Turkish reaction will include a lot more serious attacks upon Idlib.

” In case the word is not kept, we will never pull back and we will carry out a bigger assault than the one executed earlier, we will not merely react to the assaults, we are going to carry them out personally,” pointed out the Turkish leader.

Basing on the leader, his goal is for a long-lasting ceasefire.

Erdogan acknowledged that he anticipates Russia’s assistance in the job of “containing” the Syrian soldiers.

Moreover, the Turkish leader mentioned that Turkey is going to keep its boundaries with the EU opened until the European Union meets its migration obligations.

” At the summit meeting on March 26th, our staff will reveal our expectations once again. If we do not get what was guaranteed, the present condition is going to stay the same,” Erdogan said to the legislative wing of the Justice Party members.

Basing on the leader, Ankara managed to prevent the movement of immigrants to Europe that obtained sanctuary inside Turkey.

” However, Europe never kept its word, not in the financial backing with regard to refugees, nor the guarantee to stamp out visas [for Turkish residents] Until our expectations regarding sections are met [in discussions on the entrance of Turkey at the EU], and also till the customs union contract is updated, we are going to continue to use the steps taken at our borders, “this person included.

As the predicament within the Syrian territory of Idlib intensified during February, Turkey proclaimed that it can no longer contain the movements of travelers and even evacuees, and opened up its borders with the EU, soon after, countless evacuees made their way to the borders with the union.

The alliance shot down the procedure, referring to it as “migratory pressure for bureaucratic objectives,” and even called on Turkey to re-enforce the migration contract, executed during 2016.

Discussions with Russia

Subsequently, the Turkish Self Defense Minister, Hulusi Akar, said that the talks with Russia and Turkey regarding the Syrian Idlib DMZ are done in a favorable manner.

“The Turkish-Russian discussions regarding Idlib in Ankara proceed in a good and even positive manner,” mentioned the minister, quoted by Anadolu.

This person included that Turkey and Russia are actually doing prep work in order to start shared patrols on the M4 freeway in Idlib district beginning March 15th.
