New York-based celebrity and entertainment law firm Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks has been in the news for the past few days because of hacking news. Hackers have now demanded $ 42 million (about Rs 317 crore) as a ransom, threatening to publicly leak their clients' private data if the ransom amount is not paid within a week. Has given According to cyber security firm Emsisoft, the hacking group "REvil" is also known as "Sodinokibi" behind this hacking. Let me tell you, this hacker group has claimed that they have personal data of many celebrities. These celebrities include Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Bruce Springsteen, Jessica Simpson, Idina Menzel, Christina Aguilera, Maria Carrie, Mary J. Bleys, Ella Mae, Cam Newton, Bette Midler, Run DMC, and Facebook, etc.

According to Emsisoft, on May 8, hackers shared the Madonna's "Madame X" tour 2019-20 contract on the Dark Web, presenting evidence of data theft. The size of this data was reportedly 756 GB. This data included phone numbers, email addresses, entertainment contracts, non-disclosure agreements and other personal information. On 11 May, Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks confirmed the hacking and issued notifications to their clients and staff. The company says that they are working closely with experts in this matter. At the same time, on May 12, a $ 21 million ransom was demanded by hackers.

However, the firm refused to negotiate with the hackers. The matter is currently being investigated by the FBI. Emsisoft had said that if the ransom amount was not paid, the hackers would gradually make the data public and something similar happened. On May 13, hackers allegedly tried to share a file of 1 GB of data on the cloud service Mega. But the reason the account was terminated by Mega was the inability to live up to the term and condition. However, hackers taunted the firm, saying that they had made a mistake by hiring the recovery company.

Just after that on 14 May hackers doubled the ransom amount, now hackers are demanding $ 42 million from the firm. Hackers say they also have data related to US President Donald Trump. If the ransom amount is not given in a week, then he will also leak the data of Donald Trump. However, let us tell you that Donald Trump has never been a customer of Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks, so this connection is still unclear. <! –
