Saudi Arabia has stopped the arrangement of oil on loan for Pakistan. It happened after the Imran Khan government took steps to part the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) over Kashmir.
Threat Made By Pakistan Caused Saudi Arabia To Do This
Hit by an extreme monetary emergency, Pakistan had obtained a $6.2 billion loan from Saudi Arabia in 2018. The loan package incorporated an arrangement under which Saudi Arabia conceded Pakistan $3.2 billion worth of oil. That too, for a year on conceded installments.

Pakistani media on Saturday said that the arrangement implied for Islamabad lapsed two months prior. It has not been reestablished by Riyadh. Rather, Islamabad has rashly returned $1 billion Saudi loan, four months in front of reimbursement period. The Express Tribune stated this, citing sources and Sajid Qazi, the representative of the Petroleum Division.
As of late Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi during a syndicated program on a news channel had undermined that if the OIC headed by Saudi Arabia didn’t gather an unfamiliar priests’ gathering on Kashmir, Prime Minister Imran Khan would hold it all alone with his partners among the Islamic nations.
Pakistan And The OIC
The OIC, the greatest alliance of Islamic nations on the planet, has over and again declined Islamabad’s few solicitations to hold a gathering on Indian Kashmir – a district which Pakistan Army endeavored to attack multiple times over the most recent seven decades and where it has been pursuing an intermediary war against India for most recent three decades.
Since August 2019 when India repudiated exceptional status of the Jammu and Kashmir state and brought it straightforwardly heavily influenced by the Central government by bifurcating it into two Union Territories, the Imran Khan government has been looking for help of the 57-part OIC over the issue in support of Pakistan.
One of the significant purposes behind OIC’s absence of help for Pakistan has been Riyadh’s dismay with Islamabad’s closeness. This along with Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan who supports the desire of supplanting Saudi Arabia as pioneer of the considerable number of Sunni Islamic nations.
