Indian Michelin star chef Vikas Khanna is moving away from his day-to-day responsibilities and focusing on social service. He has told that nowadays he is engaged in organizing a food distribution campaign on a large scale through a social media campaign. He is so busy in this work that he does not even have time to think about the release of his first film ‘The Last Color’ as a director.
The mission of this development hashtagfeedindia is to provide food and supplies to the widows of Dabbawalas and Vrindavans in thousands in Mumbai in this difficult time of Kovid-19 epidemic.
He said, “It started with a spam email. On April 1, I saw an email saying that after lockdown in India, old age homes here need your support. I deleted the mail, but sometimes – Sometimes it happens that you climb into the wrong train, which takes you to the right destination and in this case the same happened to me. “
Vikas further added, “It was a spam e-mail, but the pictures it contained, old and old people were lying without food, it hurt my heart because I had been working with old age homes and leprosy centers before. And I knew that they usually have food storage. After that, to check whether this is true or false, I tweeted about this issue, we got hundreds of emails. We did not know that People will also pay attention to our tweet, but I have started receiving messages from many places including Goa and Karnataka. “
