In a significant humanitarian effort, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has dispatched an aid ship carrying a substantial 4,016 tons of humanitarian supplies to Palestine amidst the Israel-Hamas conflict. This initiative, known as the ‘Gallant Knight 3’ humanitarian operation, was initiated by the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with the primary objective of supporting the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
Departing from Fujairah, the aid ship is bound for the city of Al-Arish, where the supplies will be prepared for introduction into the Gaza Strip. The humanitarian cargo includes 3,465 tons of food supplies, 420 tons of shelter materials, and 131 tons of medical aid. The medical assistance is a collaborative effort, contributed by the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works, the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation, and the Emirates Red Crescent Authority.
This shipment is a testament to the UAE’s unwavering commitment to solidarity and cooperation with the Palestinian people in their time of need. Prior to December 1, the UAE had already provided over 2,681 tons of aid to the Palestinian people. Additionally, the UAE air bridge has seen a total of 92 aircraft contributing to these relief efforts.
