Now is the time to act to reach our net-zero goals. The world cannot wait 30 years for change to occur.
“The world is changing faster than ever as population growth and urbanisation put pressure on resources and infrastructure. There’s too much to talk about. Now, not in 30 years. We must act,” he said. Talia Sherrard, Fugro’s manager of geophysics and coastal resilience, said as much at the Journey to Net Zero forum in Dubai on Wednesday.

Make decisions and act proactively rather than reactively. I feel like there’s been a lot of talk about it, but there’s been no decision as to how we’re going to act,” she said.
Dr. Thalia added that her biggest challenge is fragmented data related to climate and that she has zero problems with the net.
“One of her biggest challenges when looking at data is not having enough high-quality data,” she said. People don’t want to pay for quality data.
