Atenx is a one-of-a-kind sports brand which promotes fitness to strengthen cardiovascular fitness and overall development. Founded in 2018, Atenx focuses on healthy and sustainable living. Headquartered in Pune, it is one among many sports brands to introduce sustainable products. However, Atenx has an edge over other sports brands as it manufactures 100% recycled dry-fit t-shirts from plastic bottles.
As per the stats, there is an estimated 100 to 200 million tons of plastic waste currently in the oceans hampering the environment. Be it microplastic in food packets to plastic water bottles floating across the ocean, it has become imperative to preserve mother nature from being perished. Looking at the alarming facts, Atenx has been repurposing discarded materials and transforming them into synthetic t-shirts of polyester and nylon.
Currently, Atenx is manufacturing only dry-fit t-shirts recycled from plastic bottles. In the coming time, the brand aims to manufacture other products recycled from plastic waste. Through this mechanism, Atenx is trying to solve the plastic problem and is promoting sustainable sportswear to consumers.
When contacted Aditya to know more about it, he said, “We are trying our best to keep plastic away from the ocean. Our goal is to recycle a maximum of plastic products and transform them into high-end sportswear. We are glad to contribute towards reducing pollution levels.” Apart from this, Atenx has other activewear like track pants, sports shorts, tank tops and gym wear.
The brand, in the last few years, has scaled its exclusive fitness studio called Atenx Performance Studio to newer heights. This fitness studio is for athletes, runners and sports players and all those people wanting to achieve their fitness goals through an array of programs like cross-fit, strength training, HIIT, yoga, strength training, boxing, massage and physiotherapy among other amenities.
