While as fascinating as it may seem, starting everything from scratch is not a cakewalk. Ask Soham Mukherji who has adjusted himself to the new environment after moving out of his hometown.
He is an emerging vocalist and music producer who is working hard to carve out a niche for himself in the music industry. He is the son of Bollywood’s beloved singer Shaan and thus has inherited some genuine knack for music. The singer completed his schooling in Mumbai, and recently he shifted to Los Angeles to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Law and Business.
Soham is not only focusing on his studies but also working toward building a stronger work profile. The singer gets candid about his experience of moving to a new country. He says, “While there are many advantages to leaving one’s cocoon and beginning a fresh chapter in a new city, it is equally weary to start everything from level one. Family, friends, and even I had built a few contacts by doing some work in the industry. I had to leave all this behind.”
Soham further added, “However, I was excited for the sense of freedom and independence that this shift has given me. It’s tough to thrive on your own, but I’m glad that I chose this way and have made it this far.”
The singer already started his musical journey when he was in India. He started as an intern at Sony Music and worked on numerous projects. Currently, while he is in Los Angeles, he is working as an intern at Listen To The Kids/Interscope Records, where he is assisting in data-driven analysis for weekly artist reports for Listen To The Kids. Besides this, he has also worked on many other projects as a freelancer. We hope that Soham Mukherji spreads his charm everywhere he goes.
