Web series are the new entertainment sources that have hooked a cosmic number of eyes. Don’t you agree that these hour-long episodes are super-thrilling? Moreover, these exciting web series have enthused even producer Mohit Parmar, and now he has expressed his desire to make a web series with multiple genres.
While the producer has already delighted binge-watchers by producing the rom-com web series Suraj aur Saanjh starring Anjali Anand and Anil Charanjeett, he now wants to make a web series of mixed genres like tragicomedy or suspense-thriller. Mohit Parmar says, “Working on a story that has multiple genres gives a sense of freedom and allows us to be experimental. You can be more creative when it comes to developing the story.”
But why does Mohit Parmar want to make a tragicomedy or suspense thriller? To explain this, he says, “Tragicomedy has a unique format in which humour and sadness are integral to each other. Unlike a standard rom-com, the narrative of a tragicomedy has twists and turns that keep you hooked. No one knows what is going to happen next.” And addressing suspense thrillers, Mohit says, “Lately, the demand for such web series is touching the skies after all; they have such a gripping storyline. So why not make a suspense thriller?”
We hope that the producer soon comes up with an intriguing web series of the aforementioned genre and entertains us. Mohit Parmar also talked about the rising demand for web series. He said, “Given the pace at which we live, watching an episode of a web series can be too exhaustive. Yet people enjoy that one-episode-at-a-time idea and also prefer binge-watching.”
True right? There might barely be any person without an OTT platform installed on his or her phone.
