At first, Coldplay was just supposed to perform in Abu Dhabi on January 11, 2025, for one night. But since the initial date’s tickets sold out fast, two more shows were added for Wednesday, September 25. A fourth date was announced when fans scurried to get tickets and the demand kept rising.
The band has a global fan base, but it is especially popular in the United Arab Emirates and India. Due to extreme demand and resale prices of up to Rs300,000, many Indian fans who were unable to secure tickets for Coldplay’s performances in India are now arranging to go to Abu Dhabi in order to see the band perform live.Bangalore-based 35-year-old IT specialist Arjun Laksh is one of the people excitedly getting ready for the show. Laksh has rescheduled his family’s December vacation to the United Arab Emirates in order to attend the newly stated date. Because of the concert, I had to reschedule my trip for January. Despite being a fan of Coldplay for more than ten years, he never got the opportunity to see them perform live.
Laksh has already acquired two tickets, suggesting that his luck is starting to change in his favour. “Everything is coming together. I am really fortunate to have received two tickets, and I have no doubt that I will obtain further ones for my friend and his family. Although I have seen other concerts, I can not wait to see Coldplay live,” Laksh continued.
An hour-long line
Many Indian fans decided to make the occasion a vacation after spending over three hours online attempting to get tickets for Coldplay’s performance in the Emirates.
Siddharth Kamath, a native of Bangalore, is excited to be going to his first Coldplay performance with his wife Sakshi. He told Khaleej Times, “My wife and I logged in on two devices, and we also requested our friends to try for us.” “I love Coldplay so much. I have listened to all of their albums and can practically sing along to the songs, but I have never had the opportunity to see them perform live.
