Gone are the days when only being an engineer, doctor, or banker was considered a successful career option. Today, we see people actively choosing to be artists, influencers, event managers, and whatnot. Similarly, a huge number of individuals are preferring to enter the hospitality space. Do you know why? Keep reading as Bhiva Rajan Parab, aka chef Rupal Parab, has expressed his standpoint on the same.
Being a part of the youth and even the hospitality world, he would be the right one to explain the aforementioned question. So, according to him, there are multiple reasons why people are choosing this field. He says, “There are multiple job opportunities created by the hospitality industry. From tourism to culinary and event management, it covers all of these. Moreover, these niches not only give them hefty theoretical knowledge but also allow them to do practical experiments.”
Adding further, chef Rupal Parab asserted that the work structure and climate of this field are different from others. “It’s not a 9-to-5 job where you are expected to complete the given to-do list. Here, you’re always expected to do something different, something innovative. Sometimes you even keep working for hours or you have a good leisure time.”
Hailing from the culinary world, Rupal Parab now gets specific about it. He says, “Another reason why youngsters are choosing this field is that they can experiment with different cuisines and recipes. If you love food, then there will be no better place than the hospitality world. You get to present your own recipes in a commercial setting and even take them from one place to another.”
Chef Rupal Parab is just 21 years old and has already become successful. He completed his degree at IHM, Goa, and went on to work at renowned hotels like the JW Marriott in Mumbai, Delizia in Qatar, etc. Currently, he is employed at GKM Hospitality in New Zealand.
