Art is a way of expression and it’s a job of an artist to express himself using different forms of art. One such young budding artist is Hariharan who’s known also as Harry D Cruz is getting famous for his great talent in beatboxing. Every culture and tradition has its own expression through art, they have their unique music, dance, sports, and more. All human cultures and societies have flourished through art. Harry believes in the same idea.
Unfortunately, many people are discouraged from following their dreams by misleading rumors that wrongfully describe art as a profession with no financial prospects. Society looks at budding artists as if they have no secure future. Parents don’t want their children to become an artist looking at the struggle an artist goes through. Yet Hariharan gave up his career and devoted himself to beatboxing even after he completed his masters in MBA.
Becoming an artist in a developing country like India begins and ends with a lot of struggle. An artist’s own family doesn’t support and motivate him to follow his/her dreams. Where the family must be the first to stand with him/her instead their struggle begins with the opposition by their family. After overcoming these barriers Hariharan made his way out to become an artist. He is a professional beatboxer, Ex – cultural Secretary of the Indian academy degree college (2017 – 2018). His journey has been inspiring many budding artists.
He was titled ‘India’s finest saxophone sound produced with the use of human voice’ by high range book of world record organization. Indian book of record holder for Thai flute beatboxing. He has performed with many prominent celebrities like Vasu Dixit, MJ5, Andrea Jermai, Sanjith hedge, Akul Balaji, and Rahul Dito. He also has performed on the platform Tedx and that too 7 times. He was selected as top 16 in the India beatbox championship 2022. Achieved the title of Grandmaster for Thai flute beatboxing in Asia book of record.
Harry introduced kazoo in the Indian beatboxing community and have been a jury member and judge in different college event and national level competition in institutes like Cambridge institute of technology – Chiguru 2017. He has a long list of achievements at a very young age. Artists can accomplish a lot in their life like Hariharan, what they need is just to believe in themselves and their abilities.
