Goulding became a global artist so soon and felt surreal for the whole experience. However, the desire to do more, to create more tracks for her fans she at some point, felt that she was becoming a robot. Entangling herself into a million things she was missing out on the most significant part of the success – the Journey. The thing she once loved doing so much was now becoming a pressure, she felt. Ellie was constantly toiling herself with the big writers and musicians. Ellie was tirelessly entertaining her fans throwing gigantic live performances and arranging yearlong tours.

In 2010, Ellie Goulding topped the UK Albums charts with her debut album, Lights. After being awarded multiple prestigious awards and nominations for her constant hit tracks, she gave a memorable performance at Duke and Duchesses wedding reception, in Cambridge.
From an outside perspective, her life could have looked all glamorous and happy. Whereas the closer look showed an opposite story, deep down her glittery clothes and behind all the sounds and lights she was slipping away and was barely even present there, mentally. This life of a pop singer and a renowned celebrity, where her managers and team were regularly pushing her towards all the things at once, took a serious toll on her mental health.
At an interview, she admitted that she took therapy to deal with her anger issues as well.
This two-time BRIT Awards winner says, “I never was an alcoholic, but used to drink before Radio 1’s Live Lounges” (which were recorded in the mornings, usually).
In 2016, she publicly declared that she will take a temporary break from the music and all this overwhelming spotlight. Amidst these 2 years break from this extra shiny life, she deliberately immersed herself into the vast pool of campaigns. She raised her voice for climate change and helped home-less vulnerable women.
Ellie’s comeback
After her restorative time-off, this British singer-songwriter has come up with a brand-new banger album- Brightest Blue which consists of two sides. Side A is her single, where she talks about herself and her experiences. Whereas, Side B depicts a rebel side, which includes superstar collaborations with Swae Lee, Juice Wrld, blackbear and LAUV.
