Mumbai Indians, who won the Indian Premier League (IPL) title three times, have signed West Indies fast bowler Aljari Joseph in place of injured New Zealand player Adam Milne. Milne, 26, had to withdraw from the team without playing an IPL match due to a heel injury. In a statement issued by the IPL, it was said that Mumbai Indians have included Alzari Joseph in the team for the IPL 2019 in place of injured fast bowler Adam Milne.
He told that Joseph has played nine Tests and 16 ODIs for the West Indies. The right-arm fast bowler has claimed 25 wickets in Tests and 24 wickets in ODIs.
After the return of veteran Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga, the addition of Joseph in the team will further strengthen the Mumbai bowling attack. The Mumbai team lost their opening match against Delhi Capitals on Sunday.
