The analysis of the American federal government makes it clear that ‘Healthcare Cost in the United State’ is very high. According to data from Economic Co-Operation and Development, the US spends approximately $3.65 trillion on its healthcare sector.

“I wouldn’t put any pill in your mouth until you know what you’re taking it for, and what the common side effects are,” Dr. Hilden said.

The level of spending is the highest amongst the developed countries.

It is even higher than the GDPs of countries like Canada, Spain, Mexico, the U.K., and Brazil.

In 2017, the United States increased its spending on healthcare to 4.4%. A further 5.5% annual growth rate is expected in healthcare services. As per $3.65 trillion, the  United States annually spend is approximately $11,212 per person.

59% of the total healthcare budget goes to hospitals, clinics, and doctor’s services.

With such an increase in healthcare spending, people will face great difficulties in obtaining medical care in the near future.

Though the United States is working hard to meet its high healthcare costs, still it ranks 27th in the world.

However, the long wait time is less, as compared to other countries. This simply means that the quality of healthcare in the United States is not much worse than elsewhere.

In the future, the American Government needs to overcome the cost issues of its healthcare services. Due to the high cost, the healthcare system is least accessible to many. Approximately, 22% population miss Doctor appointments and consultations because they simply cannot afford it.

“You need a doctor who you trust to be a partner to help you make decisions that are best for you,” he said. “Doctors are experts and you do need to tap into that expertise. But you want them to be open to considering what the other things we can do are.” – Star Tribune (Minneapolis)/Tribune News Service

Health insurance programs are also very costly.

In the past few years, The X-President of the United States, Barak Obama introduced the Affordable Care Act. According to this Act, the health insurance coverage got a little rise in the States. As stated in the  Affordable Care Act;

“Still, a substantial proportion of people would benefit from coverage but remain uninsured in the U.S., and increasing coverage for these individuals remains a policy priority.”

The United States now needs strong strategies to deal with uninsured and uncovered citizens. This is because health-care plays a significant role in the progress of any nation.
