Coronavirus Lockdown: A 50-year-old man was presented in a UK court on Tuesday for threatening and misbehaving with a BBC Indian-origin reporter, Seema Kotecha. At the time the journalist was treated badly, she was preparing to broadcast a program from Leicester City Center. Seema Kotecha was in touch with the guests of her show to take a response to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s address to the nation on Sunday evening. But due to abuse, he had to stop his broadcast.

Johnson addressed the nation on the subject of the gradual abolition of the lockdown enforced due to Kovid-19. A BBC spokesperson said, “Our correspondent, his production team and guests were preparing for the broadcast only when the incident of racial abuse happened to him.” We will not tolerate racism or mistreatment of our employees. ”The incident was reported to the Leicestershire Police, which began an investigation and detained a man named Russell Rawlingson from Leicester on Monday.

According to the police statement, “A 50-year-old man has been charged with harassment, harassment, uttering derogatory words for harassment in Leicester City Center on Sunday evening in a case of mistreatment of television personnel.” Kotecha tweeted after the incident, “Sorry. One person said abusive things to me that made things worse for everyone. “He said,” The reporting of a national crisis was tragically interrupted. “Thousands of messages have come in support of Kotecha.
