F-15S fighter jets of the Royal Saudi Air Force crashed at the training area of the King Abdulaziz air base due to a technical malfunction, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Defense, Brig. General Turki Al Maliki, said on Monday.
The flight crew, which consisted of two officers, survived the crash after using the ejection seats, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted a spokesman as saying, “No injuries or ground damage were reported,” a ministry spokesman said.
“The investigative committee has begun its task of finding out the details and reasons behind this incident,” SPA quoted Al Malik as saying.
