In the past 7 days, two cars, three motorcycles and one commercial vehicle have been launched in the Indian market. These include the Hyundai Verna facelift, Renault Triber Easy-R AMT, 2020 Kawasaki Versys 1000, BMW F900 R, BMW F900 XR and Maruti Suzuki Super Carry BS6 CNG. Hyundai has launched its new Verna in the Indian market, which is the country’s first fully connected mid-size sedan. The company has kept its initial price of Rs 9.30 lakh which goes up to Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Compared to the old model, this vehicle now comes with more bold, attractive design, intelligent technology, advanced performance and best features. The new Verna has BS6 standard diesel and petrol engines.
It has a 1.0-litre turbo GDI with the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, 1.5-litre BS6 petrol with 6-speed manual transmission and intelligent variable transmission and 1.5-litre BS6 diesel engine with 6-speed manual transmission and 6-speed automatic transmission.
BMW F 900 R, F 900 XR
BMW Motorrad India has launched two new middleweight motorcycles BMW F 900 R and F 900 XR in India. The company has priced the F 900 R naked sports bike at Rs 9.9 lakh. At the same time, the F 900 XR has priced an adventure sport-tourer at Rs 10.5 lakh, while the F 900 XR Pro has been priced at Rs 11.5 lakh. BMW is strengthening its grip in the middleweight segment and is an affordable motorcycle compared to the BMW S 1000 R and S 1000 XR.
Both the motorcycles have an 895 cc parallel-twin engine, which comes with 86 mm more bore. It has the same 77 mm stroke and is derived from the 853cc motor which is available in the F 750 GS and F 850 GS. This engine generates the power of 105 bhp at 8,500 rpm and torque of 92 Nm at 8,500 rpm. The new engine comes with two balancer shafts to keep the vibration checked and also to carry more weight. 3 to catch the F 900 R from 0 to 100 mph. It takes 7 seconds. At the same time, the XR takes 3.6 seconds to catch the same speed.
Renault Triber EASY-R AMT
Renault India has launched its Tiber AMT in the Indian market. The company has kept its initial price of Rs 6.18 lakh. The automatic manual transmission Triber has been introduced in three trims – RXL, RTX and RXZ. If you look at the difference in the price of the AMT variants then you will see a difference of Rs 40,000, which is believed to be a better value proposition in the market.
The Renault Triber range starts at Rs. 4.99 lakhs in India. At the same time, the price of RXL AMT base variants starts at Rs 6.18 lakhs. The RTX variant is priced at Rs 6.62 lakh, while the RXZ variant is priced at Rs 7.22 lakh (ex-showroom India). The Renault Triber Easy-R AMT only comes with the BS6 1-litre petrol engine, which is a three-cylinder engine. This engine generates a power of 61 bhp and torque of 96 Nm
2020 Kawasaki Versys 1000 BS6
India Kawasaki Motorcycle has quietly launched its litre-class adventure touring motorcycle Versys 1000. The company has priced the 2020 Kawasaki Versys 1000 at Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom India). The company has increased its prices by Rs 10,000 over the old model. Earlier in April 2019, the company had increased the price by Rs 20,000 from Rs 10.69 lakh to Rs 10.89. As the power to the Kawasaki Versys 1000, the company has given a BS6 1,043 cc, liquid-cooled, in-line four-cylinder engine that generates a power of 118 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 102 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox. This engine is derived from the Ninja 1000.
Maruti Suzuki Super Carry CNG
Maruti Suzuki India has launched the S-CNG variant of the Super Carry equipped with BS6 standards. Kanani has priced it at 5.07 lakh rupees (ex-showroom, Delhi). The launch is tied to the company’s mission Green Million announced at Auto Expo 2020. It is also referred to as a strong partner for promotion for its commercial viability. The Maruti Suzuki Super Carry is the first light commercial vehicle (LCV) to be upgraded to the BS6 engine. The country’s first 4-cylinder engine is given which generates 64.4bhp power at 6000rpm and torque of 85Nm at 3000rpm
