An Indian-American cardiologist described the coronavirus as highly contagious and life-threatening and also appealed to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee not to take things lightly and to prevent the spread of the infection on a large scale and to prevent deaths from it. Describing the virus as a killing machine, he has appealed to the Chief Minister to take immediate steps to stop the virus. He said that the situation like some western countries can be avoided by taking appropriate steps, investigation, separating the people in contact and strictly enforcing social distance. Dr Ray has also been a professor in several medical universities in America and India.
She said that not taking proper steps to prevent such infection will lead to death and destruction and I know that as a Chief Minister you will never want to do so. The total number of infected people in India has reached 67,152 by eight o’clock on Monday morning and 2,206 people have died.
