Many Indian citizens were trapped in various countries due to the lockdown imposed to prevent the spread of the problem-causing coronavirus throughout the world. The Central Government has launched the Vande Bharat Mission to bring these citizens back. Right now the first phase of this mission is going on, but Air India and it’s subsidiary Air India Express. Which has engaged in executing this mission, has started preparations for its second phase.
According to the information received from the officials, Air India has plans to operate 149 flights to 31 countries in the second phase of this mission, which runs from 16 to 22 May. At the same time, from May 7 to May 14, in the first phase of this mission. Air India is operating 64 flights to bring back about 15,000 Indians stranded in 12 countries.
Airline officials said, ‘In the second phase of the mission, Air India and Air India Express countries in the United States, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Canada, Saudi Arabia, Britain, Malaysia, Oman, Kazakhstan, Australia, Ukraine, Qatar and Indonesia etc. It will operate 149 flights to bring back stranded Indians. Apart from these countries, the second phase also includes flights to Bahrain, Armenia, Thailand, Italy, Nepal, Belarus, Nigeria and Bangladesh along with Russia, Philippines, France, Singapore, Ireland, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Japan, Georgia, Germany and Tajikistan. Will be operational.

Let us know that the lockdown in India is going on from 25th March and its third phase is currently going on which is to end on 17th May. The total number of corona positive cases across the country has risen to 70,756, of which 46,008 are active, 22,455 people have recovered or have been discharged from hospital and 2293 have died.
