Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, while addressing a meeting of the National Coordination Committee on Thursday, said that the lockdown in the country will be lifted in phases from Saturday.
Imran Khan warned people that the success of the lockdown depends on how people follow the norms of social distancing. However, he also warned that if people failed to follow the guidelines laid down by the government, the authorities would clampdown once again. That is, people should be ready for strictness in the rules again.
Amid the announcement by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood has said that all schools and universities will remain closed till July 15.
14 killed in 24 hours only in Sindh
Coronavirus infection is continuously spreading. Talking about the last 24 hours, a maximum of 14 people have died in Sindh. Due to which the total number of deaths has increased to 171. So far, more than 9,000 cases of the virus have been reported in this province.
At the same time, 502 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours in the Punjab province of Pakistan and with this, the total number of cases has gone up to 9,195.
There are more than 18,000 cases in Sindh and Punjab in Pakistan. At the same time, the figure of confirmed cases across the country has crossed 24,000. Now the virus has also spread to Balochistan where more than 1,600 people have been affected by it.
Pakistan has so far lost 585 people due to the virus. According to the government, more than 6,400 patients have been cured of the virus.
