Earthquake In Delhi: The tremors of the earthquake have been felt once again in the country’s capital Delhi. Its intensity on the Richter scale is measured at 2.7. This is the second consecutive day when earthquake tremors have been felt in Delhi. Earlier on April 12, there were earthquake tremors. At that time its intensity was measured at 3.8.

The earthquake also came on Sunday,
in many areas of the national capital Delhi and NCR, the tremors of the earthquake were felt at around 5:50 pm on Sunday evening. The earthquake’s intensity on the Richter scale has been recorded at 3.5 magnitudes. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the epicentre of the earthquake was East Delhi and the border of UP.
Delhi falls in Seismic Zone 4
In terms of the earthquake, Delhi falls in Seismic Zone 4. The epicentre earthquakes in Delhi had also occurred in 2004 and 2001 before this. While its intensity was 2.8 on the Richter scale in 2004, 3.4 was recorded in 2001.
People came out of the house
, when the earthquake occurred on Sunday, a large number of people also came out of their homes in Delhi, Ghaziabad, Noida and Greater Noida. Significantly, the earthquake in Delhi is a very sensitive area, because it is the flood plain of the Yamuna. According to JL Gautam, Director (Operation), National Seismology Center, Wazirabad in north-east Delhi was the epicentre of the earthquake. Its intensity measured 3.5 on the Richter scale while the depth was eight kilometres underground.
