Uttar Pradesh government has decided to reduce its expenses due to Corona . Due to this, the salary of MLAs and ministers has been reduced by 30%. Also, the MLA fund which the MLAs get for the development of their area has also been withheld for a year. The MLA funds for the year 2020-21 will be used in the war against Corona.
The proposals to cut the salary of ministers and MLAs were approved in the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday. Also, the state’s Disaster Fund was changed in 1951. Till now there was an amount of 600 crores in the disaster fund, which has now been increased to 1200 crores.

salary is. It has 40 thousand salary, office allowance is 20 thousand and constituency allowance is 50 thousand. 30% of this will go to the Covid Care Fund. There are a total of 56 ministers, thus making 2 crore, 21 lakh 76 thousand in total.
He further added, ‘The MLA and the members of the Legislative Council are 503 in total. They get 25 thousand as salary, office allowance 20 thousand and constituency allowance 50 thousand. This 95 thousand will also be cut by 30%, which will go to the Covid Care Fund. This makes 15 crore 28 lakh 74 thousand in total. Together, ministers and MLAs will spend a total of Rs 17 crore 50 lakh 50 thousand in the war against Corona.
