Colin Kaepernick was recently in Nike’s latest “Just Do It” ad campaign which has brought a lot of mixed emotions from people all over the world.

Donald Trump Jr., POTUS Donald Trump’s son, is not happy about the ad. He took to social media to express his thoughts with a photo that replaced Kaepernick with his father. Meanwhile, Kaepernick has filed a grievance against the NFL alleging that teams colluded to keep him out of the league.

Domald Trump Jr. posted two days after Nike announced that Kaepernick, San Fransisco 49ers quarterback, would be the star in its ads, marking 30years of the “Just Do It” slogan. Despite the backlash coming from all over the world, Nike has been strong on their decision to have Colin Kaepernick as their star, saying that “he is one of the most is[pirational athletes of his generation.” This comes after Kaepernick started kneeling to the U.S. National anthem in protest of black people and minorities in America.

Even with all the support from people who support Nike and Kaepernick, the company has not received a lot of praise from other areas. President Donald Trump took to Twitter with this tweet:

Just like the NFL, whose ratings have gone WAY DOWN, Nike is getting absolutely killed with anger and boycotts. I wonder if they had any idea that it would be this way? As far as the NFL is concerned, I just find it hard to watch, and always will, until they stand for the FLAG!

Other people burned their Nike shoes in protest, but Nike’s response was the release of a two minute-video that feature Kaepernick and Canadian Athlete soccer star Alphonso Davies among other athletes, working to realize their dreams. “Don’t ask if your dreams are crazy, ask if they’re crazy enough,” Kaepernick said in the ad.

In other news, Kaepernick has filed a grievance against the NFL with allegations that teams conspired to keep him out of the league. A judge has allowed his case to move forward to court.
