Russia’s Department of Foreign Relations said Wednesday it really hoped Western side nations would not participate in any type of Ukrainian endeavor so as to stage what they called “a provocation” close to the Kerch Strait, and also discourage Kiev of intensifying strains within the region.

Ukraine mentioned recently that they intended to “send out warships to the Azov Ocean harbors through the Kerch Strait” in spite of Russia’s confiscation of 3 naval force warships & their sailors in that location back in November of 2018.
“There’s a war going on, initiated by Russia…and this war is raging at the sea too, since 2014. Whether we want and don’t want to lay low at bases and offices; we have to fulfill our duties regarding the protection of our sovereign interests. And the sovereign interests of Ukraine apply to the Kerch Strait as well,” commander of the Ukraine Naval staff, informed the Kyiv Post.
British defense minister Gavin Williamson went to Ukraine previous week coveying to the Ukrainian equivalent that the “Black Sea did not belong to Russia” and reminded them that Britain sent off Royal Naval warships to that location to demonstrate to Kiev that they “did not stand alone”. he said.
