The e-commerce giant – Amazon’s own music streaming service “Amazon Music” will soon join Amazon TV. As sourced from Android Police, users can now pre-register for the TV version of the application which is available in the Google Play Store. The new support will enable Android TV users to directly access the Amazon Music service using their entertainment device, bringing streaming music to the surround sound system and speakers connected to their television.
Spotted on Google Play Store as named “Amazon Music for Android TV”, the app will bring on-demand music services and a huge catalog of 50+ million songs to Android TV, including offline support. The app will also support blocking and filtering songs that contain explicit lyrics with its explicit language filter. Amazon Prime subscribers will have access to Amazon Prime Music as part of their subscription which offers them access to 2 million songs as well as radio stations and curated playlists.
Whereas Amazon Music Unlimited will be a good choice for Amazon users who want to stay loyal to the platform and access songs not available under the regular Prime Music offering. The ad-free Unlimited plan will cost an additional $7.99/month to users. Amazon’s audio-enabled devices including Echo products will support both versions of this application. Although there is no absolute date revelation when the app will available officially, it will surely compete with other leading music entertaining apps available for Android TV.
