The vast majority of the gems taken from a noteworthy Dresden craftsmanship assortment in 2019 in a $120 million heist have been recovered, German police and examiners said on Saturday.

They claimed that the 31 pieces, which included a bosom star of the Clean Request of the White Bird and a resplendent jewel hat, were obtained by specialists in Berlin.

Their return followed exchanges among examiners and safeguarded legal counsellors for the Germans who are being investigated for the November 2019 break-in at the Gruenes Gewoelbe (Green Vault) Historical Center.

In total, the pieces from one of Europe’s most prestigious craftsmanship collections contained over 4,300 precious stones worth more than 113 million euros ($120 million).

Examiners accept the cheats’ explanation that they cut and reattached a piece of window glass ahead of time in order to enter the structure as quickly as possible during the heist.

The returned pieces will be inspected by trained professionals “to affirm their genuineness and flawlessness,” specialists said.
