German leader Angela Merkel suggested that Europe wants an orderly Brexit strategy and that she was not discussing other alternatives, given that Britain negotiated its own disengagement from the European Union.
“These negotiations will go on intensively and I am pleased by that because what we aim for is to have some orderly solution. We are not dealing with the other scenarios at the moment,” she was quoted during a news conference within Prague, with the Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis being present.
Addressing a news event at Prague, Merkel stated “we are going to go over with Turkish leader Tayyip Erdogan, as soon as possible, the situation of a German civilian that was condemned to 6 years and 3 months behind bars for enrolment of a terrorist group.
