Previous Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, who signed the INF treaty along with then-US President Ronald Reagan, says Washington’s decision to drop out from it is a “mistake” and also “a narrow minded” decision.
Giving his take on Us president Donald Trump’s ambitious planning to ditch the historical Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF), among one of the “fathers” of the treaty berated the current US leader.
“It’s completely unacceptable to break the old treaties on disarmament,”Gorbachev told Interfax.
While the United States allies seem to be sluggish in reacting to Trump’s decision, Berlin has now shown concern over the consequences of taking apart the INF.
