It’s not every day that a popular meme takes on a TV debate in India. But it became trending when Sambit Patra, BJP Spokesperson took this meme on a different level.
Recently a music producer, Yashraj Mukhate converted a small scene from a daily soap “Saath Nibhana Saathiya” into a music video where there is a conversation going on between Kokilaben Modi and her both daughter-in-law Gopi and Rashi. Kokilaben went for a shower and calls Gopi. Meanwhile, in rasoda (kitchen), Rashi removes chana from cooker and puts the empty cooker on the stove. So Kokilaben alleges Rashi for all this conspiracy asking “Rasode main kon tha “.
At CWC meeting held on Monday, after a seven-hour marathon session, Congress leaders again chose Sonia Gandhi to be the party’s interim president. On a TV debate, Patra said it is Rahul Gandhi who is keeping the chana (other leaders of the party) out and putting an empty cooker (Congress party) on the stove.
Nowadays memes have become an obsession to the youth and even politicians could not resist after this viral video and the way Sambit Patra drew the analogy between Rashi and Rahul saying “Rahul hi Rashi hai”.
