China revealed that 85 districts have been formally removed from the country’s listing of Chinese Impoverished areas, marking additional forward steps towards its objective of eradicating hardship/poverty by 2020.
The news brought in through the State Committee Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation plus Development for the Poverty Relief Day.
“Removing the 85 counties from the poverty list was in line with local economic and social development. The decision can stand tests and is recognized by the public,” Xia said.
