The film that was launched in 2018 is officially getting a sequel. And it’s closer than you could believe. 19th March 2021. Yes, it’s that close. Yes, it’s true. No, we aren’t kidding. Yes, you can get your hopes up.
The sequel, directed by Ben Wheatley, has showed that Alicia Vikander and Kristin Scott Thomas might be portraying Lara Croft and Ana Miller respectively.
Where we stand
The sequel will pick up in which the 2018 reboot of Tomb Raider, which is loosely based on the 2013 online game of the identical name, left off.
Filming started in early 2020 in England. It was then announced, in line with Geek Vibes Nation, that principal photography was scheduled to begin in April with filming to be taking place across the globe in a lot of international locations including, but not limited to, England, South Africa, Finland and China.
The film will portray more of the supernatural factors and tones from the online game, for game enthusiasts to connect with. Production has now been delayed, probably till approximately sometime this summer due to the sudden international pandemic crisis.
