A day after an Israeli attack on a school housing displaced civilians in Khan Younis left at least 27 people dead and 53 injured, the Israeli army orders all Palestinian civilians to leave Gaza City as it strikes UNRWA’s headquarters there.
Four schools have been hit in however many days as Israel has constrained a large number of Palestinians to escape Khan Younis and Gaza City. No less than three key clinics have been compelled to closure in northern Gaza.
The attacks occurred at a time when, following discussions in Egypt, another round of talks to try to end the war in Gaza will begin on Wednesday in Qatar.
According to Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, since October 7, 60% of Hamas fighters have been killed or wounded. Israel’s war on Gaza has resulted in at least 38,295 deaths and 88,241 injuries since October 7. The estimated death toll from Hamas-led attacks on Israel on October 7 is 1,139, and dozens of people remain imprisoned in Gaza.
