Senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri tells the Reuters news agency that Hamas has agreed to a ceasefire resolution that was approved by the UN Security Council.
Israel’s war on Gaza has resulted in at least 37,164 deaths and 84,832 injuries since October 7. The revised death toll from Hamas attacks in Israel now stands at 1,139, and dozens of people remain imprisoned in Gaza.
